Review Submission Guidelines

   So you want to write a product review for the Game Keep, huh?
   We'd like that, really we would, but before we can accept your work you'll need to follow these simple submission guidelines.

Review Format
    All reviews must follow this template:

 Header
   Title (ex: Bob, Lord of Evil)
   Game Type (ex: roleplaying game)
   Author (ex: Gary Gygax)
   Publisher (ex: Alderac Entertainment Group)
   Medium (ex: 8x10 paperback)
   Price (ex: $24.95)
   Reviewer (your name here)

 Body
   The body of your review should be comprised of clearly written text.  No review should be less than 200 words or more than 1,000. 

1. Write properly.  Spell-check and proofread your submission. Use correct grammar and punctuation. 
2. Stay on topic.  No one cares about your old 1^st Edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons character, but everyone who clicks the link cares about the product you're reviewing. 
3. Organize your comments.  Don't bounce from chapter to chapter and theme to theme.
4. Put some real thought into your review. Play the game before you start to write.  If you're reviewing a card or board game, this is simple, but when writing for an RPG, you might have a little more work ahead.  Go for it!  Thoughtful comments and properly applied critiques make your submission worth reading
5. Do not write personal commentary into your review, except where it applies to your experience of the product.

 Ratings
   The game Keep uses a 5-star rating system in the following categories:
   Playability 
   Game Mechanics 
   Magic/Tech System
   Character Creation & Advancement
   Setting
   Presentation
    Do not use categories other than these, and any category that doesn't apply to the product should be omitted.  If there is an element of your review that should be reflected in the ratings, but does not have an appropriate category, close your article with a comment on that element.

   Your name and the date you wrote your review (ex: Logan L. Masterson, 7/12/2002)

Submitting the Review
   To submit your review, copy the entire piece from your word processor to an e-mail directed to GM@thegamekeep.com.  Do not send attachments, such as word documents or .rtf files.
